2. When GW Bush left office, the national debt was $10,626,877,048,913.08 (1/20/2009, Barack Obama started with this number.)
3. When Barack Obama left office, the nation debt was $19,944,429,217,106.77 (1/20/2017, Donald Trump started with this number.)

BUT WHO ACTUALLY SPENDS MONEY? -----> CONGRESS
So which political party controlled Congress during these years?

Here's the roundup: Out of the last twelve congresses, Republicans controlled the US Senate seven of twelve congresses, and Republicans controlled the US House ten of twelve congresses.

So if you don't like the national debt, please, PLEASE call your congressman or congresswoman. Presidents just sign a pile of paper.
