BLACK LIVES MATTER
I was awakened a bit early this morning while listening to Los Angeles radio. They covered the story about Philando Castile who was shot dead on the street by a cop for no good reason. This was the second day in a row where there was video of an event where a roadside killing was broadcast in social media. To say it's tragic doesn't quite reach the level of outrage that we all should be espousing today. I wonder about that precious little four year old girl who witnessed this and who told her distraught mother, "I'm here for you mama." A four year old. This has got to stop and complaining about it on Facebook seems so insufficient. We MUST do more in all our communities to challenge those responsible for policing policies and operating procedures. While this is an operational and training problem (maybe even psychological), this is just completely unacceptable. Without question, I have been cast as a "cop basher" by many who reflexively defend police...
