Ballot Retention is FIRST Goal for Oklahoma Libertarians

National Review Attacking Gary Johnson is Good News.. For Johnson...

Gotta love the bashing going on over at the National Review (NR). James Spiller was tabbed to present several really absurd arguments about Johnson and Libertarians in general. Probably the most absurd comment from Spiller is the idea that Libertarians would be forced to subsidize publicly funded elections for D's and R's but should renounce such funds in trying to obtain 5% of the vote that would unlock such funds for the Libertarian Party.

The LP has been denied space on the debate state by people NR advocates and the rigged process of electing presidents. The NR doesn't care whether Johnson is a legitimate Libertarian or not. They just don't want to be seen helping Libertarians strip away votes that could go to ‪#‎neverTrump‬.

Johnson isn't a perfect Libertarian. Neither am I. But if Gary Johnson isn't libertarian enough for Libertarians, then let's call this thing quits and stop pretending we're going to make a difference in trying to win elections.

To govern, compromises are necessary. Like that or don't like that. There isn't a perfect Libertarian candidate. The big picture for those of us in Oklahoma is to get a candidate that can secure party recognition by the state of Oklahoma. That's all that should matter for Oklahoma Libertarians in the short term.
